A Day at Kuza Adventure Park in Cozumel

A Day at Kuza Adventure Park in Cozumel

A Day at Kuza Adventure Park in Cozumel

When our Disney Cruise docked in Cozumel, we wanted something beyond just strolling the shops near the port. We were looking for a place where Avery could swim, explore, and relax in a safe and welcoming environment. Kuza Adventure Park (also known as Kuza Beach Park) ended up being the perfect match.

A Quiet Day on the Island

Only three ships were docked that day, which meant fewer crowds and a quieter experience overall. After a short bus ride, we arrived at the property and headed straight to the VIP beach area. The first thing we noticed was how calm and clear the water was—perfectly safe for swimming, floating, and soaking up the sun.

Avery loved every minute in the water, splashing and enjoying the gentle waves. For us, the beach was the highlight. The property itself is huge and offers so much more than we could fit into one day, but sticking to the beach was exactly what we needed.

Tacos, Ice Cream, and Relaxation

Of course, no adventure is complete without good food. The chicken and steak tacos were amazing…juicy, flavorful, and freshly made. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, an ice cream cart rolled by. Avery lit up with excitement and enjoyed every bite. Sometimes it’s the little touches that make a day unforgettable.

What Kuza Adventure Park Offers

Kuza is designed to be an all-day experience, with packages to fit different types of families and interests. Beyond the beach, the property includes a water park with slides and a lazy river, jungle trails, live cultural shows, and activities like zip-lining, kayaking, and snorkeling.

Here’s a quick look at the main pass options:

  • Day Pass: Around $54 for adults and $27 for kids (ages 5–11). Includes beach access, loungers, shaded areas, live music, games, a playground, and nature trails. Food and drinks are available to purchase.

  • Deluxe Pass: Around $85 for adults (sometimes discounted). Includes buffet lunch, open bar, cultural shows, and all beach amenities.

  • VIP Pass: Around $150 per adult, with discounts sometimes offered. Includes exclusive beach access, premium cocktails, waiter service, snacks, buffet, open bar, snorkel gear, and upgraded amenities.

  • Adventure Combos: Kuza also offers add-ons like snorkeling at El Cielito, jungle RZR rides, zip-lining, cooking workshops, or water park upgrades for families who want a more active day.

Autism & Sensory Notes

  • The Beach: Calm, clear, and very safe for swimming.

  • Food Variety: Tacos, buffet, and snacks offered enough options to keep everyone happy, even picky eaters.

  • Noise: Much quieter on our day since only a few ships were docked, which helped Avery feel relaxed.

  • Shaded Areas: Plenty of loungers and shaded spaces to take breaks from the sun.

  • Flexibility: With so many activities, families can choose adventure or downtime based on their child’s comfort level.

Final Thoughts

Kuza Adventure Park gave us everything we wanted in a shore excursion: safe waters for Avery to swim, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere. The property has so many options that you could easily spend a full day exploring, but for us, keeping it simple with the beach was the right choice.

This one definitely gets our Avery Approved ✅ stamp for being family-friendly, flexible, and fun.
