Skillsville Smoothie Recipe
Berries & Brain Function
🧠 The Skillsville Smoothie — Avery’s Daily Brain Boost
If you’ve seen our morning routine on Instagram, you already know that smoothies are a big deal in our house — especially this one.
We call it the Skillsville Smoothie, and it’s part of Avery’s everyday start to the day. Packed with gut-friendly probiotics, superfoods, and calming nutrients, this smoothie helps set her up for focus, energy, and emotional balance — without the crash of sugary breakfasts or artificial ingredients.
💚 Why We Love It
This smoothie isn’t just tasty — it’s functional. We started building Avery’s smoothie routine when we realized that her supplements were working better together and more consistently when blended into a daily drink she actually enjoyed.
It’s perfect for:
-
School mornings
-
Travel prep
-
Calm focus before therapy or activities
-
Days when everything feels a little off
We’ve noticed a big difference in Avery’s regulation, mood, and energy when she starts her day with this — and we miss it when we skip it.
🧃 Skillsville Smoothie Recipe
For Focus, Brain Health & Gut Support
Ingredients:
-
½ banana
-
1 teaspoon chia seeds
-
~1.5 cups Califia Organic Oat Milk (adjust to your texture preference)
-
1 handful frozen organic berries
-
1 scoop Aspire Nutrition Bio-Heal (probiotic powder)
-
1 scoop Sunfood Superfood Smoothie Mix
Instructions:
-
Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender. We like the Ninja Smoothie Blender
-
Blend until smooth and creamy.
-
Serve in a favorite straw cup, thermos, or smoothie glass.
💡 Tip: If your child is texture-sensitive, blend a little longer to get it extra smooth.
✈️ Bonus Travel Tip:
We use the capsule version of Bio-Heal when we travel — it’s easier to pack, and still helps keep her gut balanced and calm on the go.
🧠 The Power of Routine
This smoothie has become a comforting and empowering start to our day. We call it a “brain boost,” but it’s really a regulation tool — part of the strategy that helps Avery go from overwhelmed to ready.
Whether you’re just getting started with supplements or looking for a kid-friendly way to deliver nutrition, we hope this gives you a helpful (and delicious) idea to try at home.
